Gets the job done, but a bit pricey.

Handsfree light with a motion activation.Gives two types of light, a superbright headband that is perfect for seeing things you are working on, and a spotlight that in reality i did not use.The hands free on off is great, until it registers a wall or something instead of your hand, then you start flapping around wondering why it went off in the dark.It is bright, but these days all of these LED lights are. Battery time is decent too and it comes with a usb charger. Fine if you have a usb slot.Ive had variations of these heqdlights in the past and will continue to use them, they are all good and get the job done. This is a tad pricey in comparison to others i own though. The headband can be adjusted and it is comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Bright, Slim & Comfortable Headlamp

** Summary version- see detailed below **This is one of the best headlamps I’ve used. The slim, lightweight design is very comfortable, and the wide beam gives excellent bright coverage for close-up tasks. The side focus beam adds great distance visibility. USB-C charging and IP44 waterproofing are very handy features. A little pricey compared to others, but the quality and performance make it worth considering.__________________________________** For those who want more detail **Quality & SizeI’m really impressed with the quality and design. The build feels solid, the slim profile sits neatly on the forehead, and the band—made from silicone-style rubber—is adjustable, lightweight, and comfortable to wear for long periods without irritation.UsabilityI'm amazed at the brightness. The wide-angle beam is bright and illuminates everything around me, really effective for close-up work, giving a full field of view without needing to move your head constantly. On top of that, the side focus beam is a brilliant addition for longer-distance illumination, offering good reach when you need it. Between the two modes, this light feels versatile and well thought out.Practical features like USB-C charging and IP44 waterproofing make it convenient and reliable for both professional use and DIY projects. The USB charging is fast at around 2 hours. While I haven’t fully tested the battery life yet, it has performed well so far. The motion sensor feature also works as described, though I haven’t needed to use it much yet.Final ThoughtsThis is honestly one of the best headlamps I have ever used. The design is well-thought-out and it's great for both professional use and DIY projects. If it weren't for the higher price compared to other headlamps on the market, I would give it five stars. Brilliant, lightweight and powerful.

This offers a great light output, the motion activated switch works OK, but I also found it would switch with abrupt head movements too, or when close to walls when moving. It charges quickly and after the 1st charge was on for over 2 hours constantly with no need to recharge.Buttons are ready to locate and you get used to what to press when in short time. The front light is a flexible strip attached to the headband and spreads well. The focus light on the side throws a long focus like beam. The packaging is quite tight, and the front strip light does get deformed from that, but eventually flattens out.The headband sits well on the head and is easily adjusted. It is very lightweight and easy to use.I do like this and will get plenty of use out of it.

Lightweight and convenient

Unlike my previous heavy head torch this one is light to wear and easy to put on without messing up your hair too much.It has four main modes: bright and medium front light band, and the same bright and medium side spotlight. The tiny leaflet says the batteries last about the same for both: 4–5 hours on bright and 8 hours on medium. It also has a flashing mode, which I'm not going to use.The front band light gives good general illumination. The spot light really only lights up a relatively small area, but this is useful if you are dealing with something quite small (although then slight head movements leave it unilluminated). The induction feature has to be turned on using the second button, but it then works well. The side LED goes from red to red+green, and a wave of your hand next to the box on the side turns the light on and off. Quite handy to save batteries when you only need the light on sometimes.

LED head torch

Bought for a neighbour as a Xmas present for their son. (they don't buy online). I checked it out before giving it to them, it's very bright, and the "hand-gesture" function works great. They're all happy with it.

Must Have

Good piece of kit

Good light, just could do with a way of directing the beam.

Very bright light, although it would be useful to have a directional one as well.

Good but…..

I really want to give this a 5* but can’t purely because it doesn’t suit me! Good sturdy build, super comfortable and doesn’t jiggle if you run/walk fast. Lovely and bright and lights up immediate area like day, but that’s the rub, I use mind for walking my shepherds in the countryside, I need a good beam to look far into the distance in order to see hazards before the muppets do ie deer/foxes etc. I think this is a really good product, but for the right people!

Very useful and so bright

Quite simply this head torch is brilliant and very very bright. The flexible LED strip at the front means that it is both comfortable to wear but also curves around your head to allow the light to be spread over a greater area rather than just focused on one point. However, if you do want the focused light then you can use the secondary light on the side of the head strap. The straps are very easy to adjust and will cover a decent range of head sizes. It fits my adult head well, but can be adjusted to fit my younger daughter's head too. The rubber coating means that the head torch should last well as long as it is not abused. The function that I was most intrigued about and thought would be a gimmick was the motion sensor. However having used it, I think this is a very useful feature to have. I do a lot of work on cars with family members so always have dirty gloves on and having the ability to turn the torch on and off without having to touch the button is great. Additionally given how bright the LEDs are, you really need to turn them off before turning to look at someone and the ability to easily turn off the light by waving your hand (or your helper waving their hand if you forget) is very useful.Overall, I think think the head torch is great

Really bright headband and side torch, handsfree night working in super clear light

This is a great floodlight headband, its way better than my old headtorch for working in dark spaces when the electrics are off for doing wiring and you need to see whats going on with drills etc. The light wrapps around your head so you get a floodlight all around you and the work area. There is also a side light for direct lighting if the headlight is too much . It fits well on the head with a beanie on and its robust and well made. the battery seems to be lasting a while and its easy to recharge with USB C connection for charging. It says you can wave your hand to control the light but after getting it covered in sawdust and brick dust I think I blocked up the sensor. Its a neat unit for using on loads of jobs and next thing I'm doing is under the bonnet of the car so this will help in shady areas. Good item

Amazingly bright ... Does get warm though !

The LED strip on the front of this unit is extremely bright ... It can be set to different levels though so that's good. The light on the side is a decent brightness & I found the adjustable strap to be comfortable.Easy to charge , I did find that the LED Band did get a little warm through use so bear this in mind .ANd if you have any hair it can get in the way if not pushed back before the band is put on .All in all a great unit that will have many uses !!Hope this helps ...

Bright, efficient and handy to have

Blimey there's some brightness on this, my eyes are blinded by the lights!!This headband is certainly good so you are visible when out in the dark and also so you can see where you are going in darker areas. This head torch is super simple to use and does exactly as its suppose to.The headband is comfortable to wear, the strap is easily adjusted to fit your head size and it remains in position no matter what task you are doing. The LED front headlamp offers a wide-angle light spread that covers your full field of view. This reduces blind spots and helps improve your situational awareness whilst also helping you feel safer by being visible to others. There's 2 light features, the side torch light and the LED front light. There are 5 settings to choose between and the lights are super bright, efficient and effective. The lights are easy too operate with the buttons but also the motion sensor works well when activatedThis headlight is very versatile and will be perfect for a wide range of task's and situations such as dog walking on dark nights, when out jogging early morning/late evenings, when camping, hiking, if you need to go into a loft space with no light, working in dark spots or even during power cuts. The possibilities are endless but that makes this a very useful item to have around the house.Charging takes around 2 hours which then gives a good few hours of powered usage.Overall this is a very good bright light and I'd good value for money at £22.

Does the job nicely

This rather useful head torch arrives in a slim easy to recycle cardboard box. It's a type of torch that I've got several of, keeping some in the workshop and some indoors. The reason for that is simple, these types of torches are brilliant and this one is no exception. With it's rubber like material it's incredibly light and comfortable to wear, so much so it's easy to forget you're wearing it. It can even fit over a helmet if you need to do that, plus it's 100% hands free as well. Which means you don't have to worry about carrying heavy or bulky hand torches. What's also good is the how the large light covers a nice wide area, rather than the traditional 'coal miner' spotlight type. A light that's a COB (Chip-on-Board LED) a special type of LED that uses loads of tiny-tiny LED chips packed closely together onto a flexible circuit board. A collection that's then covered in phosphor, which means light is emitted as a single continuous strip, which is different from the usual type of single LED chips.Though there is a side small single spotlight traditional type LED of on the side if you need a more directional light source. A sidelight that's less bright than the longer CPB strip, and does require you to twist your head towards what you want lit up, but it's still useful. Plus each light has two brightness settings.Another positive is this doesn't need batteries, instead it's USB-rechargeable (a charging lead is included) with a decent battery life. Though less good is the motion sensor feature, mostly because it's over sensitive and can turn off the torch just by getting close to something. But you don't have to use that feature.Another thing you'll notice is what happens when wearing one of these torches and you turn to look at people. The super brightness means you can accidentally blind them or affect their vision, which means these are not suitable for cycling. But when walking the dog or hiking at night if you learn to cover the light or look down, you can reduce the visual shock of someone else getting a large dose of lumens.Overall ? despite the annoyance with the sensor, this torch is this is a brilliant and versatile piece of kit that's worth getting.

OK basic head torch

This is an OK basic head torch. It provides two levels of brightness from the front wide angle strip light, and two levels of brightness from the side spotlight which is angled down slightly. By pressing and holding the power button for about 3 seconds you get all lights strobing. It also has a sensor mode which is activated by the other button next to the power button - in this mode a wave of the right hand alongside the spotlight 'pod' will turn the light on and off. It's charged via a USB C port on the back of the side spotlight pod which has a rubber flap just sort of lying over the top of it, so it may not keep rain out as well as those with the rubber flap in a recessed hole over the port. A USB A to USB C cable is included.

Bright and useful but I don't like the sensor

There is nothing essentially wrong with this head torch. The main light is bright enough and does give a very wide field of light. The spot light is also useful and easy to use. However, personally, I found the sensor mode a bit hit and miss and frankly a bit annoying. Fortunately, it is optional and so I can just leave it switched off. Although, it then begs the question whether this light is a bit on the pricey side, if one is going to ignore the sensor. Having said that I can quite see why some people would love it. It just isn't for me, which is why I only dropped one star. The head band is nicely adjustable and it is easy to get a good fit. It is easy to charge, although the cable is a bit short and you might want to use a longer one. My standard phone charger and cable did the job perfectly well. You do need to provide your own USB power source but at least the set included some brief instructions. As a person who was once responsible for health and safety checks, I should point out that the light is very bright and one should avoid looking at it or pointing at other people. Something that is true for all these LED head torches though. I have used mine on a night walk and found it to be really good. It illuminates the paths well and as I said there is a wide field of 'view'. It was also good for the loft and garage and for extra light, while I was topping up my car's oil the other day. This torch is light and compact. The main light is partially flexible but I shall not be treating it too roughly because I am not sure how robust it will prove to be.Overall, this quite a good torch. I think it is a bit pricey for what it is but that sensor is a potentially valuable USP. I love the brightness and spread of light but it would have been useful to have had more brightness levels available. Battery life is quite good and it is easy to slip in a pocket or bag. I think it is a solid enough buy and if you like the sensor then it is even better still.

Bright head light. Useful for many purposes.

This head torch is very bright with two brightness settings for the COB light, plus flashing and two settings for the spot light. It can be set so you just raise your hand close to it to turn it on, and the same again to turn it off. I'm not sure how useful this feature may be for myself, but some could find it useful. It fits my head well and certainly provides a good level of illumination for working on things in the loft or under the stairs etc. It's also great on camping trips and forest walks.Battery life is stated at 2.5 hours on full COB and 5 hours on the 40% setting, which is bright enough for normal usage.I found that in spotlight mode the light reflected on the inside of my spectacles if it was pointing straight ahead. Adjusting the angle helped with the reflection but then lessened its effectiveness. It's just something to be aware of if you're a glasses wearer, but not really a fault with the product as such. For the price of £21.95 I think it represents good value for money

Bright, pretty robust quality, not angle adjustment for either light, a little pricey

This is a decent head torch. Build quality is good, the rubber band at the front seems robust enough to last. Both the wide led light at the front and the side one are bright. It also has a usb-C charging port, instead of the older micro USB. There are some downsides too. Neither the angle of the wide light or the side light are adjustable. Could be fine for running or walking, but if you are trying to work on something close up, that is not particularly helpful. To some extent the wide light projects light over such a broad area, that it could make up for it up to a point, but the light is not focused or intense. Secondly, the price point at £21.95 at the time of writing is a little steep - there are similar models available for significantly less.

Bright, comfortable and waterproof, but limited adjustments

There’s no denying the power of the LEDs here - the wide 230° LED strip is great for illuminating a large area but less practical for detailed or close-up work. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear for long periods, and it’s waterproof. The motion sensor is one of its best features – able to switch the beams on or off with a wave of the hand is very useful. However, the design has limitations. Only two dimming levels restrict how useful the light is at different ranges, and the smaller beam can’t be angled independently. Adjusting the whole headband to aim the side light soon becomes a pain.Considering the price, I expected more adjustability and better light control.

Lights up a very usefully wide and bright area whilst working

I’ve had both battery powered and rechargeable headlamps in the past - but they have been a spotlight design and even though the lights have been very powerful and bright, because they are a spotlight then you have to spend a lot of time adjusting the light to ensure that it is shining on the area that you want to work on. … and if it isn’t then you end up contorting your neck in an attempt to get the spotlight to shine on the right place! All a little bit uncomfortable. This lamp is a totally different concept and consequently you simply put it on, switch it on and it works! It floods the area that you are working on/looking at with light! You can shine the light from the strip at the front of the headlamp or shine from the side spotlight and there are two levels of light output for each source. There’s a side button that you use to control the light output - cycling through front full/front half and side full/side half and off. It’s rechargeable and so need to be looking around for batteries and you get a USB 3 to USB C charging lead. It takes a few hours or so to charge up - and this gives you a similar amount of use time on full brightness - plenty for most jobs. It’s a wonderful headlamp and it really does light up the whole work area when it’s on full intensity mode - and I really wanted to give it a full 5 stars. In fairness I have to remove a star because the instructions are so difficult to read because they are so small (and the seller doesn’t repeat them on their Amazon page), plus this head torch apparently has a hands free/motion activated functionality .. but no matter how much I tried I couldn’t get it to work (and couldn’t make sense of the instructions). I guess if you’re doing dirty work then the motion activation might be important but I can live without it.
